Since 1901 CONO Cheesemakers, manufacturer of Beemster cheese, is responsible for the Dutch cheese which is made on the highest level of craftsmanship in The Netherlands. Where a lot of cheese manufacturers are occupied with the mass production of cheese, Beemster is concerned with craftsmanship and the traditional ways of making cheese, where 500 cattle farmers still form the governing body of the company. Beemster & bol.com
In 2010, Beemster will start a campaign together with bol.com, the biggest online media and bookstore in The Netherlands. On each package of Beemster cheese, people can find action coupons, which can be used when ordering products from bol.com.
This campaign will be nationally launched by broadcasting commercials on national television and through POS materials in supermarkets. For the commercials and online awareness for the campaign, we need your help!
Make an Ad or movie(clip) which expresses the campaign of Beemster cheese and bol.com on the most original way possible. Do this by using the Beemster logo and if possible the other available images of Beemster cheeses. When creating your design or movie, think of clever combinations like enjoying some good cheese when watching a movie, which you have ordered at bol.com. Of course, you can also use the action coupons in your design. The slogan and other files like logos and (corporate) items/pictures can be found when clicking the button 'files'.
Among the files, you will also find the 'Caring Dairy' logo. This is Beemsters corporate sustainability initiative; Happy cows, Happy farmers and Happy earth. If your Ad (partly) has a sustainability perspective, you can use this logo. For more information on the Caring Dairy initiative, please visit www.beemsterkaas.nl.
The winning designs or movies will be placed on the Beemster website so they will further enhance the (online) awareness of the campaign. Make sure you spread your Ad/movie within Hyves, Facebook and/or Twitter!
The three best submissions, chosen by Beemster, will win the following:
Company prize 1: a traveling cheque (value of 1.000 euro)
Company prize 2: 5 times a so called 'wheel of cheese' (a 13 kg cheese, with a value of 155 euro to dig in with your friends)
Company prize 3: 5 times an action coupon (worth 50 euro) for the website Bestelvers.nl, where you can buy fresh Beemster cheese.
The three submissions that receive the most points out of votes will win the following:
Community prize 1: an iPad (with a value of 499 euro)
Community prize 2: 5 times a so called 'wheel of cheese' (a 13 kg cheese, with a value of 155 euro to dig in with your friends)
Community prize 3: 5 times an action coupon (worth 50 euro) for the website Bestelvers.nl, where you can buy fresh Beemster cheese.

What kind of design you would like to make is fully up to you. You can send in print Ads, but also movies. We only ask you to make sure your design/movie is full of creativity and completely original.
Your submission must be uploaded before October 15. After this date, you can still gather votes until October 22. Make sure you are on time with uploading your design to gather as many votes as possible!

The Beemster brand, cheese and bol.com must always come forward in a positive way. A positive association with good tasting cheese must always be visible.

Do's: craftsmanship, traditional roots, surprising, believe in own products, self confident, teasing towards other brands.
Don'ts: arrogant, old fashioned, inconsistent, rude, insulting (towards other brands), weak jokes in ads.
To be brief: Beemster is indeed very special! (this is the literal translation of the slogan as used in the Netherlands)
Do's and don'ts bol.com
Bol.com must always be written without a capital 'b', unless it's on the beginning of a sentence.
You should always use the terms 'action coupons' or 'campaign coupons'.
It is not allowed to use the term 'discount' in your design, Ad or movie.
Other items besides the bol.com corporate logo may not be used.
The prizes that can be won in this competition cannot be traded for cash.
No correspondence can take place about the outcome of the competition.
